Llanera Crusade

What a busy, tiring, exhausting, and strenuous week it was!
Well, I will keep you excited by not telling what the results of my labors are (hold on your bets of whether the results were positive or otherwise).
This post would be only the first part of my arduous week.
Last April 22, JRC Llanera outreach Pastors Willy and Mar talked to me about a crusade being organized by Christian churches all over Llanera (city?). In correlation to the crusade, they asked me, as JRC Dance Ministry’s leader, if we (the dance team) could minister by presenting a dance number. I told them to first seek the approval of our senior pastor – dad.
April 29 (Sunday) came when dad.. alright, let’s get formal.. when Rev. Dr. Manugue gave his consent regarding the Llanera Crusade. I then announced a practice; Tuesday, 2 PM. I have decided to present our latest cultural Christian dance number “Sambahin Ka Yahweh”. We have just performed this last April 4’07 @ Pampanga during a crusade hosted by JRC Betis, Pampanga, therefore I think the steps and formations were still fresh on our memories.
Anyway, during the practice, a lot were absent (most were not available on the date of performance), but we still managed to do new formations to cover up the absentees’ slots.
The next day, we adventurously rode on a truck! Ha-ha. There was a parade kasi so we have agreed to ride on a bulky truck.
As we arrived at the event location (a gymnasium near an elementary public school), I asked my buddy to accompany me to look for a school supply shop. I needed to buy a green metallic paper. I belong to the Mindanao group and metallic fans are used as our props. Irresponsibly, I forgot mine at home! BOO. Yes, I know. I’m very wrong for that.
Unluckily, we found no metallic paper. Instead, we needed to be very creative by using colored bond papers! Ha-ha. Instant props.
Our dance number at Llanera cannot be lined-up with our performance at Betis, Pampanga. There was a missing element which I do not know. But well, we have agreed in prayer na babawi kami sa next performance namin. We shall make-up with this. WE SHALL; for the glory of God :)
Anyway, although I, myself, wasn’t pleased enough by our performance, I was happy still because I knew we did it for the Lord. The only things is that we should have inserted more *type the missing element here*.
On the other hand, I was surprised by the token they gave us. For the 9 years I have been in the Dance Ministry, and for more than the three years I have been leading it, it was my first time to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from an event we have contributed to. Well, I do not seek glory for the ministry, but it was a different feeling of receiving something pala. Nakaka-tuwa lang isipin :)

Sayang, I wasn’t able to bring my cam during the crusade; I don’t have any pic to post. Next time, maybe :)
